Huklberry Pet Insurance
Privacy notice
Last updated: November 2, 2026
Who is responsible
Spencer Grundmann operates this website under the Huklberry Pet Insurance brand. Huklberry Media supports its technical operation. References to we, us, and our mean Spencer Grundmann. This notice covers information handled through our website. Odie and Stripe also process information under their own privacy notices.
What we collect and why
- Quote details: your pet's name, species, breed, age, sex, answers about existing health conditions, ZIP code, and selected coverage options. We use these to obtain and display an Odie quote.
- Contact and address details: your name, email, phone, address, and any preferred call time you provide. We use these to save your request and complete the purchase steps you choose.
- Permission records: whether you checked the optional contact box, the wording and version shown, and the time of an opt-in. A declined choice is recorded without an opt-in timestamp.
- Purchase acknowledgements: when you pay, the wording and version of the three checkout boxes, that you checked them, the time, your quote and cart references, your state, and the payment period and total. This shows what you confirmed before buying.
- Transaction records: quote and cart references, price totals, policy numbers, policy status, and Odie updates. These let us show your result and reconcile policy information.
- Technical and referral information: browser and device information, IP address, referring page, campaign or click identifiers, and website events. These help operate the site, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and understand how visitors reach the quote form.
Who receives information
Odie Pet Insurance Marketing, Inc. receives the pet and location details needed for a quote. We send your email with the initial quote to check whether you already have an Odie account. When you continue to checkout, we send the contact and address details needed to prepare your purchase. Odie sends policy and payment updates back to us so we can keep our records consistent.
Stripe receives card details directly through its payment form. We receive a token to pass to Odie. Our application does not store your full card number or CVC.
Our service providers include Supabase for database storage, Vercel and Railway for hosting, GoHighLevel for CRM and customer conversations, Mailgun for email delivery, Google Workspace for staff email, and Google Places for address suggestions and formatting. Access is used to operate and support this service. We may also disclose information when legally required.
Read the Odie Privacy Policy and Stripe Privacy Policy for their practices.
Contact permission
Quote-reminder emails have their own optional checkbox, which starts unchecked. If you request a reminder, we may send one email after you stop working on your quote. We save the wording, version and time of that choice. Each reminder includes an unsubscribe link.
The separate marketing-contact checkbox on the contact step is also optional and starts unchecked. Leaving either box unchecked does not prevent a quote or available checkout. Permission for quote-reminder emails does not authorize marketing calls or texts. A requested transaction can still require service or policy communications.
You can withdraw previously given marketing permission by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in an email. We record contact choices separately from the decision to request or buy insurance.
Browser storage and measurement
We use browser session storage to carry your details between quote steps, keep the payment reference, and retain referral information during the visit. We also store a browser identifier in local storage to help recognize repeat requests. Local storage can remain after you close a tab. Blocking or clearing storage may interrupt checkout. Do not clear an unresolved payment reference to start another payment.
We record referral and campaign identifiers supplied with a visit and may read existing advertising cookie identifiers when you submit a request. The site records quote-step events in the browser; it does not currently load standalone advertising pixels or send those events to advertising platforms.
Browser Do Not Track signals do not change the quote and transaction processing described here. Embedded services such as Stripe can collect device and usage information under their own privacy notices. You can manage cookies and local storage in your browser settings.
Storage and retention
Requests, permission records, purchase acknowledgements, and quote and policy references are stored in our Supabase database. Contact details and communication records are also stored in GoHighLevel. Odie keeps its own policy records. Access to our stored records is restricted to authorized services and staff.
We retain records to service requests, document permissions and transactions, investigate payment issues, and meet applicable legal obligations. Retention depends on the record type, whether a request or policy is active, and any legal or dispute-related need to preserve it. You can ask us to review, correct, or delete information using the contact route below.
Your privacy choices
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your information, and to object to or limit certain uses. We may need to verify your identity. Some records may need to be retained for legal or transaction-related reasons.
California residents may also have rights concerning the sale or sharing of personal information and use of sensitive information, where the applicable law provides those rights. You do not need to agree to optional marketing contact to buy coverage, and we do not deny access to the quote flow because you make a privacy request.
For website questions, contact Spencer Grundmann at support@mail.huklberrypetinsurance.com. For privacy questions or requests, email privacy@mail.huklberrypetinsurance.com. Do not email card details, passwords, or identity documents.
For information Odie holds as part of your policy, use the contact options in Odie's Privacy Policy.
Location, security, and children
This service offers insurance for U.S. residents. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Local privacy laws can differ.
We use access controls and encrypted connections to protect information. No system is completely secure. Do not send full card numbers, CVCs, passwords, or identity documents through a general support message.
The service is intended for adults. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can investigate and handle the information appropriately.
Updates to this notice
We will publish changes here and update the date above. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will provide any additional notice or choice required by law. An update to this notice does not change the terms of an existing insurance policy.
